What does optimization really look like when a real-time data platform scales?
As Digital Dealership System has grown, our infrastructure had to evolve with it. At first, the answer seemed obvious: add more servers, more workers, more load balancing, and more hardware.
But growth exposed the real challenge.
We are not running basic daily reports. Our systems process live dealership data all day, every day, across multiple DMS platforms, hundreds of dealerships, and millions of data points.
For our Fixed Ops Leaderboards and Service Status Menus, we track repair orders as they move through the service process. Some dealerships process 1,000 ROs per month. Others handle 3,000–5,000+. Each RO can change multiple times throughout the day.
For our Sales Leaderboards, we track every deal as it moves through the sales process — units, gross, goals, deliveries, performance, and more.
This is not static reporting.
This is live operational visibility.

Today, our system processes 400,000+ database queries every 15 minutes.

Most dealership reporting tools update once per day. That works for ownership, GMs, and operators reviewing performance.
But daily reports do not motivate the salesperson, advisor, technician, or manager who needs to know where they stand right now.
That is where leaderboards are different.
Reports help you understand what happened.
Leaderboards help your team act while there is still time to change the outcome.
That level of live visibility requires serious infrastructure. We recently completed a major optimization initiative to make our platform faster, more efficient, and better positioned to scale.
The results:
99.09% of our queries now resolve in under 3 seconds.
0.91% resolve in 10 seconds or less.
That did not happen by accident.


It took our internal team, development partners, DevOps and security experts, and infrastructure consultants working together to make sure our platform can continue to handle massive dealership data volume while delivering updates to customers within minutes.
Our goal is simple:
Help dealerships move beyond dry-erase boards, spreadsheets, and stale reports — and give their teams live performance data where it matters most: on TVs, desktops, mobile devices, and shareable reports.
There is room in the dealership tech stack for both reports and leaderboards.
But they are not the same thing.
